Dia de HOMENAGEM ao corredor 🏃 @PauloGoncalves, Perdeu a vida num acidente a 12 de janeiro de 2020 durante a sétima etapa do Rali Dakar 2020. #126 EN2 – Dia 3: De Aljustrel a Faro

15 Dezembro 🗞️ EN2 – Dia 3: De Aljustrel a Faro, entre lendas, presuntos e a linha de chegada O terceiro e último dia da travessia pela mítica Estrada Nacional 2 começou cedo em Aljustrel, com o nascer do sol a pintar de dourado as paisagens alentejanas. A estrada parecia mais leve, mas o coração já carregava saudade da jornada que estava prestes a concluir. Primeira paragem: Castro Verde, onde o canto das planícies ecoa pela imensidão do horizonte. Em seguida, Almodôvar, já às portas da Serra do Caldeirão, marcou o início da transição do Alentejo para o Algarve — e com ela, um dos pontos mais icônicos da EN2: o Km 666. Uma paragem obrigatória para a fotografia, claro, com um toque de mística. Logo adiante, o famoso ponto gastronómico da rota: a Casa dos Presuntos, onde o estômago falou mais alto e a tradição alentejana se fez sentir à mesa. A subida pela Serra do Caldeirão trouxe de volta as curvas e o verde, num dos trechos mais bonitos e menos falados da EN2. A chegada a São Brás de Alportel sinalizou a reta final da jornada, já com o cheiro do mar a prometer um encerramento memorável. E então, Faro. O marco final. A placa de chegada. O fim da estrada… ou talvez o início de muitas outras. Para fechar com chave de ouro, uma visita simbólica ao lendário Moto Clube de Faro, um verdadeiro santuário para quem vive sobre duas rodas. 🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵 15 December 🗞️ EN2 – Day 3: From Aljustrel to Faro, among legends, hams and the finish line The third and final day of the crossing along the mythical Estrada Nacional 2 started early in Aljustrel, with the sunrise painting the Alentejo landscapes golden. The road seemed lighter, but my heart was already longing for the journey that was about to end. First stop: Castro Verde, where the song of the plains echoes across the vast horizon. Next, Almodôvar, at the gates of Serra do Caldeirão, marked the beginning of the transition from Alentejo to Algarve — and with it, one of the most iconic points of the EN2: Km 666. A mandatory stop for photography, of course, with a touch of mystique. Just ahead, the famous gastronomic spot on the route: Casa dos Presuntos, where the stomach spoke louder and the Alentejo tradition made itself felt at the table. The climb up Serra do Caldeirão brought back the curves and greenery, in one of the most beautiful and least talked about sections of the EN2. Arrival at São Brás de Alportel signaled the final stretch of the journey, with the smell of the sea already promising a memorable ending. Hey there, Faro. The final milestone. The arrival sign. The end of the road… or perhaps the beginning of many others.
