2025 Road Trip Day ??

An absolutely brutal day! First, the good… I made it through 5 states, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. Almost 600 miles. I stopped at my first Buc-ees!! Massive gas station with over 130 pumps and the inside looked similar to a Costco! Now the bad… I hate bridges and over passes since I had a pretty bad panic attack coming west over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge a few years ago!! Leaving Houston, my gps put me on the HIGH overpass. The one 4 passes up! Then came more high over passes and bridges to the point where I was on a “raised road”, bridge(?) in Louisiana, that I swore was no less than 40 effing miles! My body was do tense I was sore, there were no damn shoulders to speak of and semi’s all over the place! My chest got tight! I had that lump in my stomach/chest just before you throw up. I swore if I HAD to pull over to puke the only way to get outa there was in an ambulance! I heard from a couple very nice ladies at the Iversville Parrish visitors center, I stopped to catch my breath and recover, that it’s only about 19-20 miles long. I-10 should be called the “Road of Bridges” because every 3 miles your on another damn bridge! I can almost laugh about it now (not really!). It was the most stressful day on this trip, in the last year and probably since my last panic attack 3 years ago! That’s really saying something if you know what’s happened so far on the 2025 Road Trip!! Well… I’m in a hotel in Navarre Florida for the night. I really need some down time before I start my way to Orlando tomorrow!! Good night all!
