Add emergency contacts

On your Profile page, tap the cog icon, then Emergency contacts and Add Emergency Contact. Enter a name and phone number, or import a contact, and tap Save.

If crash detection detects a crash and you don't cancel the alarm, your emergency contacts get a text message with the position and time of the crash, so they can call you or the emergency services. They don't need Detecht on their phone.

In Sweden, with Premium, the alarm can also go to SOS Alarm: see Connect crash detection to SOS Alarm.

To have Detecht friends alerted in the app as well, choose them in Safety Tracking.

Add an emergency contact

The app asks you to add one when you first set it up. To add one later:

  1. On the start screen, go to your Profile page.
  2. Tap Settings, the cog icon in the top right corner.
  3. Tap Emergency contacts.
  4. Tap Add Emergency Contact.
  5. Enter the person's name and phone number, or pick them from your phone's contacts.
  6. Tap Save.
