Connect crash detection to SOS Alarm (Sweden)

With Premium in Sweden, tap the cog icon on your Profile page, then SOS Alarm. Enter your name and phone number, turn SOS Alarm on and tap Save.

In Sweden, Detecht can send crash detection's alarm straight to SOS Alarm, the Swedish emergency service. It's part of Detecht Premium.

Turn on SOS Alarm

  1. On the start screen, go to your Profile page.
  2. Tap Settings, the cog icon in the top right corner.
  3. Under Premium, tap SOS Alarm. It shows once you have Premium and your phone's region is set to Sweden.
  4. Enter your First Name, Last Name and Phone Number. SOS Alarm needs all three.
  5. Turn on SOS Alarm.
  6. Tap Save.

What happens after a crash

  1. Crash detection detects a crash, and your phone sounds an alarm and vibrates.
  2. If you don't cancel the alarm within 60 seconds, Detecht sends it to SOS Alarm and to your emergency contacts.
  3. An SOS Alarm operator calls you right away.
  4. If you don't answer, SOS Alarm alerts the emergency services to where the crash happened.

If you cancel the alarm after SOS Alarm has been alerted, SOS Alarm still calls you to check that you're okay.

What Detecht sends to SOS Alarm

Detecht sends only what SOS Alarm needs to find and help you, and nothing that could harm you:

  • the time of the crash
  • your position (GPS)
  • the direction you were riding in
  • your name and phone number, so the operator can call you
