Save favorites on your map

Favorites make the map your own: save places, road segments and spots you find, with your own notes, to plan trips and remember what you discovered. Unlike the markers already on the map, favorites are your own and you can change them at any time.

Save a favorite

You can save a Place on the map, a road segment, a pin you dropped, or one leg of a planned route.

1. Select it on the map.

2. Tap the Favorite icon in the panel at the bottom of the screen.

   

3. Add a name, notes or a tag if you want.

   

4. Tap Save Favorite.

The Favorite icon turns on, and a card with your notes and tag appears near the top of the panel.

What you can add:

• Name: for a dropped pin or a route leg.
• Notes: a description, like "Great sandwiches".
• Tag: one of the tags on offer. It shows on the map, so the favorite is easier to recognize.

See your favorites on the map

Favorites show as purple markers on the map, with their tag's emoji. If you don't see them, open the map settings and turn on Favorites under Map Details.

Edit or delete a favorite

1. Select the favorite on the map.

2. Tap the Favorite icon in the panel at the bottom of the screen. Edit Favorite opens.

3. Change what you want and tap Save Changes, or tap Delete Favorite.
