Plan a route in the app

You can start a route from the map in three ways:

• Tap the map where you want to go. This suits planning by eye, when you have no exact destination in mind.
• Search for a place. This is the quickest way when you know where you're going.
• Plan Route opens the itinerary list, where you add several stops at once.

Plan a route on the map

1. Tap the map where you want to go, or touch and hold it. A pin drops there.
2. Drag the pin to the right spot.
3. Tap Add destination. Detecht plans a route from where you are to the pin.

You can also make the pin a stop with Set as stop, or your starting point with Set as start location.

Plan a route to a place you search for

1. Tap the search bar at the top of the map.
2. Search for your destination and choose it from the list. A pin drops there.
3. Drag the pin if needed, then tap Add destination.

Plan a route with several stops

1. Tap Plan Route on the map.
2. Add your stops and your destination.
3. Tap View on map.

Choose the type of road

Once Detecht has planned a route, choose one of three road types:

• Fast: the quickest way to your destination, mostly on highways.
• Avoid Highway: avoids highways and takes quieter roads.
• Curvy: finds the curviest roads to your destination. Curvy is part of Premium.

To switch, tap the road type icon on the map, or choose the road type in the itinerary list and tap View on map.

Add a stop

On the map:

1. Tap the map where you want to stop, or touch and hold it.
2. Drag the pin to the right spot.
3. Tap Set as stop.

In the itinerary list:

1. Open the itinerary list with Itinerary at the top of the screen.
2. Tap Add stop between the two places where you want the stop.
3. Tap the new field and search for the place.
4. Tap View on map.

Move or reorder your stops

To move a stop, your destination or your starting point:

1. Tap it on the map.
2. Drag the map until it's in the right spot.
3. Tap Place Stop (or the button for your destination or starting point).

To change the order of your stops, open the itinerary list, then touch and hold a stop's drag handle and drag it to its new place.

Generate a round trip

Detecht can generate a round trip on curvy roads for you. Round trips are part of Premium.

1. Tap Round Trip on the map.
2. Set the distance and direction you want, then tap Generate.
3. Tap Recalculate until you like the route.

Save the route

Save a route to keep it in the app for when you ride. You can save it once it has a start and a destination.

1. Tap the save icon in the top right corner.
2. Add a name and a description if you want. The region is already filled in, and you can set a start and end date.
3. Tap Save Planned Route.

The route is saved under your planned routes on your Profile page.

Edit or delete a saved route

1. On your Profile page, open your planned routes.
2. Tap the route.
3. Tap the three dots in the top right corner.
4. Choose what to do:
   • Edit waypoints to change the route.
   • Edit info to change its name or description.
   • Delete to remove it.
