Track a ride

Tap Start Tracking on the map. Detecht now records your ride.

While you're tracking a ride, crash detection is on. See Set up crash detection to get it ready, and add an emergency contact before you head out. To let your loved ones follow your ride live, turn on Safety Tracking.

Pause automatically when you stop

With Auto-Pause on, Detecht pauses tracking a few seconds after you stop, and carries on when you ride again. Your ride then shows only where you rode, not your breaks.

To turn Auto-Pause on or off, tap the settings icon on the map.

Save your ride

Saving a ride keeps it as a memory, and lets other riders ride it after you. A good description and photos make it more likely others will.

1. When you've finished, tap End. The screen for saving your ride opens.
2. Add what you want:
   • Cut out stretches you don't want with the Trim slider.
   • A name and a description.
   • Tags for the landscape and road.
   • Photos from the ride.
   • Ratings for fun, scenery and road conditions.
   • Whether to show the ride's detailed statistics.
   • Whether the ride is private or public.
3. Tap Save.

Once saved, you can navigate the route, share it or export it as a GPX file.

Edit a saved ride

Add photos or a better description to a past ride at any time.

1. Open the ride.
2. Tap the edit icon in the top right corner.
3. Change, add or remove what you want.
4. Tap Save.
